This course is aimed at adults aged 18 and 19+. You can start this course with any qualification depending on your existing skills and experience. However, for the best chance of success, we recommend that you begin your studies with a good standard of English and Maths. Accountants work at the very heart of a business and are expected to be able to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience.
All applicants will be invited to an interview with the course tutor
which may include an initial assessment to ensure the qualification is
appropriate for them. It will also be the opportunity to ask any specific
questions you might have about the programme.
You will be taught by an experienced AAT tutor in a classroom-based setting,
with lessons delivered weekly. Classes will involve interactive discussions with
classmates, offering additional support and motivation as you progress through
the course.
Assessments include:
- Two end-of-unit computer-based assessments, one for each unit.
Exams are conducted on campus. For students unable to attend campus for
exams, arrangements can be made at an alternative venue for an additional
fee.
Upon successful completion of the course, you can progress to study the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting or move into employment. Jobs you can apply for include Trainee bookkeeper, Finance assistant, Accounts administrator, or Clerical assistant.

You will need to register for AAT student membership to study this qualification.
